The legal institution of Notary Public goes back to Roman times, but the ability to electronically notarize documents has only been legally and technologically possible for a few years. While several technologies have the ability to support electronic notarization, there is no end-to-end system designed to transform the largely paper-based institution of Notary Public to a modern automated Information Assurance process.
IA-Corp was formed to provide a process for tens of thousands of document transactions notarized each day in the real estate, financial services and legal industries, as well as many government agencies.
For the first time in many industries dependent on notarization, business and institutions will have the ability to fully automate their paper processes, accelerating their ability to conduct commerce, reducing the cost of business, and making it easier to securely manage business transactions.
By 2005, 18 states enhanced their laws to enable e-Notarization. IA-Corp was formed to tackle the opportunity of appropriately automate Notary Public activities in partnership with Microsoft.
Today, IA-Corp is ready to capitalize on a rapidly emerging market opportunity where $9.5 Billion in annualized value creation is squandered by a centuries-old paper system operating in 50 states via 4.3+ million notaries.
This does not yet capture millions of transactions notarized at no charge, that are globally notarized and/or authenticated, and those transactions that have the potential to be notarized in the future.
